- Do you personally grasp God’s demonstration of love for you through the Cross? Think about what it means to you, what difference it has made to your life.
- Do you receive God’s on-going, deep, and unwavering love for you? How is God speaking love to you right now?
- What is your response to God’s love for you? How will the comfort, strength and joy of being fully loved change your week?
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
1 John 4:9-10 (MSG)
This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they've done to our relationship with God.
Galatians 2:20 (NIV)
I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Ephesians 5:2 (NIV)
Christ loved us and gave himself up for us.
Romans 5:10 (NIV)
While we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son.
2 Corinthians 5: 18-18 (NIV)
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.
