- Read the book of Philippians with us. Meditate on it, reflect on it, memorise it. Let its message take root in your life.
- If you recognise that you’re feeling intimidated by something, look to God’s Word and to fellow believers to receive courage.
- Intentionally encourage and strengthen people around you in the church. Consider how you can spur them on and impart courage.
I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
Philippians 1: 27-28
…you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News. Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies.
Be strong and courageous... Be strong and very courageous… Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
I have told you this so that through me you may have peace. In the world you’ll have trouble, but be courageous—I’ve overcome the world!
I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
