- Maintain a Godward posture through a lifestyle of prayer. Bring your whole life to God in prayer frequently through the day with thanksgiving and openness.
- Be alert to influences that undermine your Godward posture and actively resist them. Pray boldly.
- Pray. Pray. And did we mention… pray!
He went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God
Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering… Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognise what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
