- Think of an answered prayer. What characteristics did God reveal in that answered prayer?
- Build a clear profile of God’s character through answered prayers. Keep a journal or book with what you know of God through answered prayer.
- Hold on to those truths, even when future prayers are delayed or seemingly unanswered.
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill… I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you
