Our vision

Discovery Zone is all about engaging in the adventure of knowing God. Jesus came to impart abundant life (John 10:10), and we want our kids in the Vineyard to

experience that life for themselves.

 

We all know that a life of discovering God is a journey, so we want to help our kids embark on that   journey, growing in confidence and certainty as they experience and express their faith.  With age-appropriate input, we aim to equip and

encourage our kids in developing a vibrant and vital relationship with Jesus Christ.

Explorers (Pre-school)

Explorers aims to be part of those early discoveries, like building blocks and first steps.

We aim to introduce the building blocks of faith: the simple knowledge of a God who made us, loves us, and watches over us; and the first steps of faith: simple prayers and fun songs about God. 

 

 

Adventurers (Reception - Year 2)

Adventurers is about ‘the bigger picture’ - orientating us in a world that is bigger than just ourselves. It’s about learning to love others, finding out about God’s people in the Bible and in the church today. We aim to develop a growing understanding of who Jesus is, and the joy of being part of His family.

 

 

Trailblazers (Year 3 - Year 6)

Trailblazers is designed to develop the children’s own growing relationship with God, learning to love God’s word and enjoy a natural, open prayer life. We encourage ‘Trailblazers’ to bring their Bibles to church, and have fun incentives like ‘Vineyard Quids’ which they earn and save to exchange for prizes.

 

 

The Edge (Year 7 and up)

“If you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up too much space.”  So says a ‘No Fear’ advert. As our kids move into their teens with growing independence and self-identity, The Edge aims to impart that sense of exhilaration, fun and risk that is part of living a life with and for God: stretching beyond our comfort zones, stepping out in obedience, sharing our faith boldly, living loud!
