Jesus said, "You are kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity."  (Matthew 5:48 -MsgB).  This series looks at our identity in God - who God says we are: Children of God, Heirs with Christ, etc. What kind of impact should this identity have upon our experience of life? What limits us from fully embracing this identity? How can we engage all the power and freedom that this identity should bring?

Trust

According to Augustus Gordon, the Christian life can be summed up in one word: "Trust".  Since the Garden of Eden, where Adam and Eve chose to distrust God's good intentions for them, the human story has been one of distrust, as we attempt to make life work on our own terms and in our own strength. God's plan is to bring us back to a life marked by the safety of complete trust in Him. In Jesus' own life on earth, he not only gave us a vivid picture of a Father God who is worth trusting, but he modelled a life of absolute trust, so that we could learn to live the same.

Lifestyle Leadership

This series is built on the definition that Leadership = Visionary Influence, and therefore we are all called to be leaders i.e. those who have vision and those who influence others. Whether it’s a mother at home influencing her children, or a person in the community influencing the neighbourhood, or a “positional” leader influencing the people he cares for.  If we all have vision (a picture of God’s best for the world, businesses, communities, relationships, etc) then we should aim to influence others towards that vision.
